The Albert and Elaine Borchard Foundation was founded on a vision to promote charitable, educational, and scientific purposes by making grants to organizations primarily in California. The Foundation prioritizes six areas for funding in addition to grants for the educational and research programs in its two Centers.

Center on Law & Aging

The mission of the Borchard Foundation Center on Law and Aging is, through education, research, and service, to help improve the quality of life for elderly people, including those who are poor or otherwise isolated by lack of education, language, culture, disability, or other barriers.

The mission of the Borchard Foundation Center on International Education is to create a unique bridge between France and the United States - a bridge created through the scholarship and creativity of individuals involved in cultural, academic, and public affairs.
